The ninth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 is all set to begin on June 1 and the showpiece event will take place till June 29, 2024. The tournament boasts of 20 teams which will make it one of the biggest ever T20 World Cup to date. It will be played across 10 venues which are situated in the West Indies and the USA.
The opening match will take place between the hosts USA and Canada at the newly built Grand Prairie Stadium, Texas. The teams are divided into four groups with five teams in each group. The final match will be held on June 29 at Kensington Oval, Barbados.

Grand Prairie Stadium
This stadium is located in Texas, USA, and was initially opened in 2008. The ground has been the home stadium of the American Association of Professional Baseball team Texas AirHogs for 11 years. Following that, this ground was rejuvenated as a Cricket Stadium by American Cricket Enterprise.
The stadium boasts a capacity of 15000 spectators and was recently the host of the MLC franchise Texas Super Kings in the first edition.

Central Broward Park
This stadium is located in Lauderhill, Florida. This ground was established in 2007 and is one of the two dedicated stadiums for cricket in the USA. Also, it was the first stadium in America that received the certification by the ICC to conduct International matches. It has hosted ODI matches as well as T20I matches too in the past.
The Florida stadium has 20,000 capacity and has hosted the West Indies vs India T20I series game in 2016 too.

Eisenhower Park Stadium
This stadium, which is also referred to as the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium will be the temporary cricket stadium which is situated in New York. The stadium is built after the announcement of hosting one of the most high-profile matches between India and Pakistan on June 9.
The stadium will have a seating capacity of 34,000 and witness the tournament's fiercest competition. The stadium is expected to fill with spectators from around the world to attend the clash.

Sir Vivian Richards Stadium
The stadium, which is situated in Antigua and Barbuda was established in 2006. This stadium has witnessed many iconic matches in the past which also includes the 2007 ODI World Cup games. It hosted the first ODI in 2007 and the first T20I in 2010.
The stadium has a capacity of 10,000 and is one of the most scenic grounds in the Caribbean nation. It will be hosting eight matches in the upcoming T20 World Cup

Arnos Vale Stadium
This is one of the oldest stadiums which will be hosting the T20 World Cup matches this season. It hosted the first international game in 1981 when it hosted an ODI game between West Indies and England. In 1997, it witnessed the first-ever Test match while the first T20I game was played in 2013.
The stadium has a capacity of 18,000 and has previously hosted the 2007 ODI World Cup matches. In this World Cup, it will host five matches.

Kensington Oval
The oldest stadium among the currently allotted venues for the T20 World Cup matches, this stadium was established in 1871 and is situated in Bridgetown, Barbados. It hosted its first International match in 1930 between the West Indies and England. The first T20I game was played here in 2008 and witnessed ODI World Cup matches in 2007.
The stadium has a capacity of 11,000 and it will host the maximum number of matches this year among the venues, i.e.; nine.

Brian Lara Cricket Academy
This stadium which is dedicated to Brian Lara was established in 2008 and was finally completed in 2017. It is situated in Tarouba, San Fernando and it hosted its first T20I game in 2022 between West Indies and India.
The stadium boasts a capacity of 15,000 and is a host of the CPL franchise Trinbago Knight Riders. It will host five games in this World Cup including the Semifinal.

This stadium, which is named in tribute to the two T20 World Cup-winning captain of West Indies, Darren Sammy was established in 2002 and hosted its first match in 2003. It has also hosted the World Cup games during the 2010 T20 World Cup and 2007 ODI World Cup.
