The highly anticipated match of the T20 World Cup 2024, India versus Pakistan is all set to take place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday, June 9. The high-octane clash of the tournament is of much-importance for both the sides. While India will aim to extend their 6-1 lead to 7-1 in T20 World Cup history, it comes as a must-win game for the Men in Green after they stumbled to the co-hosts USA in their tournament opener.
The Rohit Sharma-led Team India are placed in Group A of the T20 World Cup 2024 alongside their arch-nemesis Pakistan, Ireland, Canada and co-hosts USA. While India registered a convincing eight-wicket win over Ireland in their tournament opener, the Babar Azam-led side are in the radar after their thrashing from the USA.
However, the match will be conducted amid tightened security in New York, the match might face a rain threat on Sunday. Although, the overcast conditions were predicted on Sunday morning with nine per cent chances of rain at 7 am local time, increasing a bit by 11 am local time, followed by thunderstorms in the afternoon.

The cloud cover is likely to be around 25 per cent with visibility up to 16-kilometer range. Dew is likely to come into picture during the match between India and Pakistan as it expected to be around 20 per cent, as per Accuweather.
If the match is washed away due to rain, however the chances remain highly unlikely, the two teams, India and Pakistan will share a point each. This will give a respite to Pakistan, who lost their opening match against USA.
