Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed has praised Indian cricketers, saying they are the best in the world and can bat well in any conditions. He admitted that Bangladesh's poor batting has been a major reason for their struggles in the ongoing T20I series, which India leads 2-0 with one match left.

In the second T20I, India defeated Bangladesh by 86 runs, setting a huge target of 221/9. Taskin, along with fellow pacers Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Mustafizur Rahman, started strong in the powerplay, taking early wickets and putting India under pressure. However, Indian batters Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh played brilliantly, recovering from the early loss of wickets and helping India post a big total.

Indian batters are best in the world: Taskin Ahmed

Taskin acknowledged India's strength, saying, "There is no doubt that they (Indian players) are the best in the world, not only in their home conditions but all over the world. They are more experienced and better players than us.  In the powerplay, we did well, but they batted well in the end, and, unfortunately, our spinners had a bad day. Normally, we don't have these kinds of bad days, but in T20 cricket, anything can happen," Taskin added.

Bangladesh's reply with the bat was disappointing, as they could only score 135/9 in their 20 overs. Taskin admitted that the conditions in Delhi favored high scores, with the average score being over 200, but Bangladesh was unable to match India's level of play.  He said, "The Delhi ground is known for high scores; the average here is more than 200. But unfortunately, we didn't bat well in both games. Both wickets were good for batting, but as a team, we didn't play to our full potential."

Taskin also pointed out that Bangladesh is not used to scoring big totals like India. India often scores between 180 and 200 runs regularly, while Bangladesh usually scores around 130-140 at home. He hopes that Bangladesh will improve and be able to score and defend higher totals.
