Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed registered the best-ever figures in the history of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) during a match between Dhaka Capitals and Durbar Rajshahi at Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. Taskin registered record-breaking figures of 7/19 as Durbar Rajshahi defeated Dhaka Capitals by seven wickets to get their first win of the season.
Batting first, Dhaka Capitals had a poor start as Taskin Ahmed dismissed both the openers in 14 runs under four overs. After that, Stephen Eskinazi and Shahadat Hossain put up a partnership of 79 runs for the third wicket. Eskinazi got out after scoring 46(29) runs with six fours and two sixes, while Hossain top scored with 50(41), hitting seven boundaries. Skipper Thisara Perera also scored a quick-fire 21(9) runs.

After that, Taskin Ahmed wrapped the lower order as Dhaka Capitals posted 174/9 in their 20 overs. Taskin registered figures of 7/19, while Mohor Sheikh and Hasan Murad scalped a wicket each. After that, Skipper Anamul Haque played a captain’s knock as Durbar Rajshahi chased the winning target easily despite losing early wickets.
Chasing the winning total, Durbar Rajshahi lost two wickets for 31 runs in 3.5 overs. After that, Anamul Haque and Yasir Ali added 41 runs for the third wicket. Yasir got out after scoring 22 runs off 20 balls, hitting one four and two sixes. After that, Ryan Burl joined Anamul at the crease as the duo put up an unbeaten partnership of 106 runs as Durbar Rajshahi won the match with 11 balls to spare and seven wickets in hand. Anamul Haque remained unbeaten on 73*(46) with nine fours and three sixes, while Burl scored 55*(33), hitting five fours and three sixes.
