Grief, disappointment, and devastation was the feeling in the Delhi Capitals (DC) camp after they suffered a heartbreaking loss to Mumbai Indians (MI) by five wickets. With this loss to MI, DC's IPL 2022 campaign ended on a tragic note. The Rishabh Pant-led team panicked in the crunch game and let it slip from their grasp.
Meanwhile, there was a completely opposite mood in MI and RCB dugout. Mumbai were elated to finish the season on a high while RCB celebrated their entry into the playoffs. This will be the third consecutive year when RCB will be playing the Eliminator.
Coming to the game, DC put on 159/7 in their 20 overs. They started well with the ball as well. Nortje got the big wicket of Rohit Sharma. But DC let Ishan Kishan and Dewald Brevis walk away with the game. Things got interesting at the end with MI losing Kishan and Tilak Varma. However, Tim David's cameo after surviving a close call (Rishabh Pant didn't take DRS against David for caught behind appeal) sealed the game for MI.
