Chris Jordan, the English fast bowler, picked up a hat-trick in the all-important Super 8 Group 2 match in T20 World Cup 2024 against the USA, to help bundle them out for just 115 runs. At the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, where Chris Jordan was born, he managed to clean up the American tail in just three balls.
At the start of the 19th innings, the USA were 115/6, looking for a late power-hitting surge through Corey Anderson. On the first ball of the over from Chris Jordan, the left-handed batter tried to clear the long-on boundary, but he only managed to find Harry Brook inside the rope, getting dismissed for 29 off 28.
The next ball from Chris Jordan was a dot, but then the carnage began with Ali Khan losing his stumps on the third ball of the over. Nosthush Kenjige was found in front of the stumps on the next one before Saurabh Netravalkar lost his stumps, which meant that Chris Jordan completed a hat-trick.
