In a backstage video from WWE Superstar Spectacle on September 8, Friday, the Hall of Famer ‘The Great’ Khali was spotted teaching Hindi to the 16-time champion John Cena. Both these WWE superstars were live and in person, performing in front of the Indian fans at a live event from the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium, also known as Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad last night.
Notably, the main event of the WWE Superstar Spectacle 2023 saw John Cena team up with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, who defeated the pairing of Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci of the Imperium. The show began with a six-man tag team match wherein Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Drew McIntyre brushed aside the Indian trio of Veer, Sanga, and Jinder Mahal.

After the show concluded, The Great Khali posted a video of himself with John Cena, teaching him Hindi in his own unique style. The former world champion made the franchise player of WWE repeat the following quote, “Chak de phatte, nap de gilli, sham ko Bombay, subah ko Dilli.” When John Cena asked the exact meaning of the quote, The Great Khali was looking for the answer from the people nearby, as the video ended.
