The Rock showed up on WWE SmackDown during the face-to-face segment involving Cody Rhodes, the men’s Royal Rumble winner, and the champion Roman Reigns. During the back-and-forth between the main event of last WrestleMania, Rhodes seemingly gave up his opportunity to compete against Reigns to compete for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the upcoming WrestleMania main event.

After Cody Rhodes hugged The Rock in the middle of the ring, he walked out of the Legacy Arena, leading to the People’s Champion having a face-off with his cousin Roman Reigns. In his latest post on the official X account, The Rock was thankful of WWE and Cody Rhodes “for the love and the house,” before telling Roman Reigns about how “there’s only one head of the table.”

It led to the fans, who have been heavily invested in seeing Cody Rhodes finishing his story, go after the WWE and The Rock for inserting himself in the long-standing rivalry between the American Nightmare and the Tribal Chief, trending the “#WeWantCody” on social media platform X.

Cody Rhodes, who had won the men’s Royal Rumble match for the second straight year, was bound to challenge Roman Reigns for the championship in the main event of WrestleMania until The Rock showed up.
