Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe transfer rumours have been persistent for the last few days, and it's not just the fans but also the players of Los Blancos who would be thrilled to see it happen. Brazilian international Rodrygo has expressed his delight at the prospect of the French forward joining him in Madrid. Like many of his teammates, Rodrygo is currently with the Brazilian national team, but that doesn't mean he can avoid the questions about Mbappe's transfer rumour.
At Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappé's future is unclear as the French star, 24, chose not to exercise his option to extend his contract until 2025, leaving him just one year remaining on his current deal. Additionally, as Mbappé's decision became public, all eyes turned to Real Madrid as the 2018 FIFA World Cup champion has been the focus of the Spanish team's obsession. Rodrygo discussed the potential pursuit of the France international with the media while the rumours were swirling.

Rodrygo told reporters as quoted by AS , "For me, a 10 because it is a phenomenon, one of the best players in the world. Right now we need a player in that position, the sooner, the better. I am excited that Mbappé is coming, but he has a contract, he is in Paris, and we must respect him."
While playing for Real Madrid in the La Liga, Rodrygo scored nine goals in 34 games. He also scored five goals in the UEFA Champions League, where Real Madrid bowed out from the semi-finals after a 5-1 aggregate loss against Manchester City.

It will be interesting to see which way Kylian Mbappe chooses after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires next year. It is believed that he has good relations with Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti and hence Madrid will always be favourites to get the French superstar.
