The third edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) has now moved to Lucknow. After Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s clash against Delhi Capitals at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, March 1, the next four matches of WPL 2025 will be played at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow from March 3 to March 8. Mumbai Indians (MI) are also set to face UP Warriorz in the Lucknow leg on March 6, followed by two matches at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai against Gujarat Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru and March 10 and 11 respectively.

Ahead of MI’s next WPL clash, their star all-rounder Amelia Kerr showed confidence in her team’s planning and strategies ahead of the remaining matches of the WPL 2025. “We have got a really well-balanced team. We are in a good position. We have got important games coming up. Obviously, we have won this competition before. So there is that belief factor,” Amelia was quoted as saying by Sportstar.

I have no idea what to expect in Lucknow: Amelia Kerr

Amelia Kerr hasn’t looked much effective in the ongoing WPL 2025. She has amassed 47 runs with the bat and taken five wickets in five matches in the season so far. Talking about MI, the inaugural champions have won three out of five matches so far and are currently standing in the second spot in the points table.

“I have no idea what to expect in Lucknow. I have never been here previously. In women’s cricket now, there is travel around the world for different leagues and for New Zealand, and you have to adapt. I don’t look too much into conditions. But adapting obviously is really important if there is a huge difference in the pitches,” Amelia Kerr further said.
