South Africa took on Sri Lanka in the fourth clash of the ODI World Cup 2023 at the Arun Jaitley in Delhi on October 7, Saturday. Batting first, the South African side seemed to be in their fiery self as batters Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen hit brilliant centuries to give the Proteas a favourable start to the match. The South African wicketkeeper opened his innings alongside skipper Bavuma, and while the captain's stay on the crease was cut short, De Kock made full use of the opportunity. The 30-year-old, who is playing his last ODI World Cup, hit big from his bat and completed his 18th century in the ODI format. The cricketer scored 100 runs off 84 runs before being dismissed off a Matheesha Pathirana delivery in the 31st over.
Rassie van der Dussen, registered his maiden World Cup century as he scored 110-ball 108 runs. The 34-year-old hit 13 boundaries and two sixes to complete his ton before getting dismissed off a Dunith Wellalage delivery in the 38th over. By the end of 46th over, South Africa had scored 375 runs with a loss of four wickets, while Aiden Markram scoring 102* off 49 and David Miller hitting 7* off 7.
