Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins has given the slogan of “This time 300” to boost his players' confidence to breach the 300-run mark as a unit in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. In the 2024 edition of the T20 tournament, SRH shattered Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) record of highest team score of 263/5 to snatch the feat. There were three occasions in 2024 when the Orange Army was close to crossing the 300-run mark. Against RCB at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Sunrisers posted 287/3 and became the team with the highest total in IPL.

Ahead of their opening game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Hyderabad, SRH captain attended a fan meeting and gave the slogan that built excitement among his team’s supporters. Cummins also called the IPL 2024 edition as amazing for his team and showed trust on his side to replicate their previous year’s performance.

"I think last year was quite an amazing season. We can play anywhere like last year, where the stadium was packed, the boys put on a show with the bat, and the bowlers hung in there. If we can put in a similar team performance this year, I think it's going to be a lot of fun, and we're going to go a long way in the tournament," said the 31-year-old.

SRH will look to be disciplined in their IPL 2025 opener against RR

SRH have an upper hand over RR when it comes to head-to-head records. The Orange Army has emerged victorious on 11 occasions while the Men in Pink have emerged victorious nine times out of 20 encounters. However, the Orange Army will be wary of their opponents as the visitors have some quality players who can deliver a headache to IPL 2016 champions.

SRH have an incredible batting unit which includes openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, who are known for their intrepid batting style. Along with both names, Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen, and Nitish Kumar Reddy are also known for dominating bowlers.
