Ruturaj Gaikwad:
The third person who makes the list is the youngster from Pune who had another fabulous outing in the IPL. Ruturaj Gaikwad led the CSK batting lineup to another title win. He started off the IPL season with a bang, as he scored 92 in the opening game against an intimidating GT attack, just missing out on a century. After that game, he never looked back and continued to score crucial runs for CSK. He showed his class in the high-pressure Qualifier-1 against Gujarat Titans scoring a gritty match-winning knock of 60(44) for which he was also adjudged as the player of the match. With Yashaswi Jaiswal getting his maiden call-up and Gill obviously continuing to open, it was difficult to accommodate Gaikwad, but he had a much better IPL season than Ishan Kishan. To summarize, Ruturaj scored 590 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate of 147.5 and an average of 42.14.
