The famous Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) will return for its seventh edition on June 12 this month. Eight different teams based in Tamil Nadu will participate this season as well featuring prominent names like Varun Chakravarthy, Vijay Shankar, T Natarajan, and B Sai Sudharsan. The league will kick off on June 12 and will go on till July 12 when the final will be played at the Indian Cement Company Ground in Tirunelveli. A total of 32 matches will be played in all, spread across four iconic venues in Tamil Nadu.
The Chepauk Super Gillies are the most successful side in the league with four titles till now. Last year’s final was unable to produce a result due to rain, hence Chepauk Super Gillies and Lyca Kovai Kings were crowned as joint champions.

What is the format for the TNPL 2023?
The TNPL will be played in its usual format, i.e. single round-robin matches which will be followed by IPL-style playoffs. The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs.
