Former IPL champion Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) lost the final of the 2024 edition of the tournament to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). After having a brilliant season, but missing out on the title at the final hurdle, SRH will look to push for another title charge and redeem themselves this season. Travis Head
The current world no. 1 T20I batter, Travis Head has only 25 IPL matches under his belt, but has made his name known in the tournament scene with some cracking knocks in the previous season. Having scored 567 runs in the 2024 edition with four 50s and one century, and boasting a mammoth average strike rate of 191, Head will look to continue his explosive form into this season as well.
Abhishek Sharma
The young Indian batter, who is currently the world no. 2 T20I batter, will look to form a formidable opening partnership with Travis Head. In 2024, Abhishek Sharma scored SRH’s fastest IPL fifty off just 16 deliveries as the team was able to put up the highest total of 277 in IPL history against the Mumbai Indians before it was eclipsed by them later in the same season. Sharma’s recent record in T20 games for the Indian cricket team has been highly impressive and he will look to carry that form into the IPL season as well.
Ishan Kishan
The left-handed wicket-keeper batsmen, who had been a main-stay batting figure for his previous team; Mumbai Indians, was acquired by the Sunrisers for INR 11.25 Crore in the IPL 2025 auction. His consistent performances with MI should be enough for him to earn a spot in the first-team as he will play alongside some quality top-order batters.
Henrich Klaasen
The South-African wicket-keeper batter has been with the Hyderabad franchise for the last two seasons and was retained for a fee of INR 23 Crore ahead of the IPL 2025. Klassen, who is an excellent player of spin and is known to finish innings with his powerful hitting, will look to repay the faith Sunrisers have put in him.
Abhinav Manohar
A promising right-handed batsman, Manohar has shown potential in domestic circuits and was acquired by SRH for INR 3.2 Crore in the IPL 2025 megaauction. He made his IPL debut in 2022 for the Gujarat Titans, where he has played for the last three seasons. Although, he featured in only two matches for GT in the previous 2024 edition, he will look to redeem himself whenever he gets a chance with Sunrisers Hyderabad.
