The ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been giving a thrilling finish in almost every game. As far as Saturday's game between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is concerned, MI have reached the target in the final delivery of the game with 4 wickets in hand.

Their win came on the back of Kieron Pollard who almost single-handedly took the team to the finishing line. Chasing a huge total of 219, Mumbai Indians got off to a flying start as in-form Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock posted 58 runs within the powerplay. Captain Rohit fell for a well-made 35 off 24 and de Kock scored 38 runs. The fall of the South African wicketkeeper saw Pollard getting into the field and things changed for Mumbai thereafter.

Pollard took the charge from the beginning and smashed every CSK bowler all around the park, registering the fastest fifty of the 14th edition. He reached the mark in just 17 balls. He remained unbeaten on 87 off 34 balls with six boundaries and eight sixes, helping his side win in the match on the final ball.

Earlier in the day, put in to bat first, CSK got off to a shaky start as their in-form opener Ruturaj Gaikwad fell for a mere 4. However, all-rounder Moeen Ali took the charge along with the veteran Faf du Plessis and CSK put up 49 runs in the powerplay. Ali went on to smash a quickfire 58 off 36 with five fours and as many sixes whereas du Plessis also scored a half-century off 28 balls with two boundaries and four sixes.

Later, Ambati Rayudu’s onslaught helped Chennai Super Kings put up a massive total of 218 for 4 in their allotted 20 overs. Rayudu amassed a 27-ball 72* which included four boundaries and seven sixes. However, Pollard's one-sided attack took the game away from the clutches of CSK.
