The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced the squad of Turkey for the UEFA Euro 2024, set to kickstart on June 14. The Europe’s premier competition will be played for a month till July 14. After an early debacle in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, it could be the perfect revenge for Vincenzo Montella’s side.
Among the notable mentions in the squad, Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, and Real Madrid’s Arda Guler have been included by the manager. In the previous year’s Euro championship, Turkey crashed out of the tournament with three straight defeats in the group stage and registering just a single goal throughout the tournament.
Turkey has been grouped in Group F alongside Georgia, Portugal, and Czechia. They will begin their campaign on June 18 against Georgia after which they will play against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal on June 22 at Signal Iduna Park. Their final group game will be against the Czech Republic five days later in Hamburg.
