The UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifiers return after a long break of two months, for the third matchday of the tournament. Gibraltar and France will lock horns against each other in Group B at the Algarve Stadium in Almancil, Portugal on Friday night. In Group B, Les Bleus have managed the top spot with six points in two matches while Gibraltar are placed at the bottom with two losses in two games so far.
Gibraltar will be going into their third game of the tournament without a win. They lost 3-0 to Greece in their opener and then 3-0 against Netherlands in the subsequent fixture. Gibraltar are led by Uruguayan manager Julio Ribas and he will be eager to make some changes in the performance of the team, as they haven’t opened their scoring account in the tournament yet.
Talking about France, they have been nothing short of outstanding in the tournament and have continued their red-hot form from the world cup. They have won both the games they have been part of in the league and are currently toppers in their group. They crushed the Netherlands 4-0 in their opening game, courtesy of a match-winning brace by skipper Kylian Mbappe. Soon after that, they won 1-0 against the Republic of Ireland.
