Israel is set to play its next two home Euro 2024 qualifying matches in Hungary. The Israeli team will lock horns against Switzerland and Romania as per the Israel Football Association's (IFA) statement on Thursday. These two Group I matches have been scheduled outside Israel because of the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

Hence UEFA also issued a suspension on holding matches in the country due to security concerns. These two fixtures will take place on November 15 and 18 respectively. Similarly, Israel will also play two away matches against Kosovo on November 12 and Andorra on November 21.
The aforementioned external issues will have created a predicament for Israel as the national team will be playing four matches in 10 days. Further talking about the Euro 2024 qualifying fixtures, the IFA shared, via the statement, that venues in Hungary for Israel's home matches have not yet been selected.

A few days back, UEFA also released a statement on the issue and asked clubs to release players for this window amid extraordinary circumstances. The Uefa statement read, “The obligation to release players will be limited to a maximum of one player per club not affiliated to one of the associations involved in the matches and the release will be due only two days prior to the matches in question, based on a special Fifa decision motivated by the exceptional circumstances, as no dates could be found in the November international windows.”
