Manchester United will travel to Seville for the second leg of the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals on Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Thursday night. The Red Devils scored two own goals to settle for a 2-2 draw in their first-leg fixture against Sevilla at the Old Trafford.
Manchester United started the first leg well with Bruno Fernandes assisting Marcel Sabitzer twice in the first 25 minutes. The Red Devils were looking good with Antony hitting the post once and Sevilla weren’t able to produce many chances. A cross from was deflected off Tyler Malacia and it went inside the net in the 84th minute then a header from El Nesyri deflected from Maguire for another own goal in the 92nd minute to make it 2-2. Ten Haag’s men are expected to beat this Sevilla side but they have to be more disciplined than in the first Leg if they have to go past the Europa League Kings.
Sevilla were resilient in the first leg but provided very little going forward. Even though the Spanish side is having a bad domestic season they always perform well in the Europa League. Sevilla have won 23 of their last 26 home matches in the Europa League and they will look to continue their streak.
