The UEFA Women's Euro 2022 hosts England will kick off the tournament with the match against Austria at Old Trafford. They are then subsequently set to meet Norway and Northern Island in Group A after the draw was completed at Victoria Warehouse in Greater Manchester.

Notably, the draw was made by Camille Abily, Karen Carney, Rúben Dias, Juan Mata, Anja Mittag, Katrine Pedersen, Lotta Schelin and Kelly Smith. It also sees current champions Netheraland placed alongside Sweden, Russia and Switzerland in Group C.

Meanwhile, European giants Germany, whose 22-year reign as the champions had ended in 2017, will want to regain their supremacy in the competition and will have the perfect chance to avenge their defeat against a team that had beaten in that quarterfinal - Denmark in their campaign opener. This is set to be a much-anticipated Group B contest. This Group also contains Spain and Finland.

It should also be noted that France is part of Group D which also has Italy, Belgium and Iceland. The competition will be played from July 6 (July 7 IST) to July 31 next year.
