Both the abovementioned fighters faced each other in November 2022, where the Brazilian handed maiden defeat to the six-time UFC middleweight champion in a span of three years. In his latest released video, UFC President Dana White notified the line-up stating Adesanya vs Pereira as the main event of an incredibly stacked draws for rest of the evening.

"Alex Pereira vs Israel Adesanya in the rematch. The co-main event is Gilbert Burns vs the BMF title holder Jorge Masvidal, Kevin Holland vs Ponzinibbo, Rosas Jr vs Rodriguez, and the fight that should be an absolute war Font vs Yanez," White said.

Notably, Pereira is the only fighter to ever defeat Adesanya in the middleweight level in the UFC and the reboot will serve as the UFC 287 main event.

Additionally, pay-per-view (PPV) madness will be a co-main event clash between the former UFC welterweight title challengers, Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal. This is yet another high-stake clash between the two of the biggest players at 170 pounds and a contest that could push the winner into a title shot sometime in 2023.

After many months without a fight, Jorge Masvidal aims to reverse his recent number of bad results against a truly tough opponent.  In the other interesting fight, 18-year-old Raul Rozas Jr. is fighting Christian Rodriguez in the Bantam weight division.
