While Ciryl Gane, the French MMA fighter competed in a heavyweight bout against Sergey Spivak of Moldova, his home was reportedly robbed with $166,000 worth of items stolen, on September 2, Saturday. The 33-year-old managed to defeat his opponent at the Accor Arena in Paris, during UFC Fight Night, to take one step towards a potential heavyweight championship bout down the road.

The robbery happened at the home of Ciryl Gane in Nogent-sur-Marne in the capital city of France, wherein the thieves managed to force their way through the front door as per Le Parisian. They claimed that the property of the heavyweight fighter was ransacked, with items, including a luxury Rolex watch getting stolen.

It was revealed that the police arrived at the sight of the crime on September 3, Sunday, at 7:30 AM, after they allegedly received details about it on a call. Furthermore, law enforcement sprung into action as per similar claims, to identify the perpetrators with the CCTV video available at the home of the MMA fighter.

The main event of the UFC Fight Night at the Accor Arena in Paris firmly belonged to Ciryl Gane, who managed to knock out Sergey Spivak in round two.  He could face Tom Aspinall of England next, a fight which has the potential to give the next challenger to the UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones.

Meanwhile, in the co-main event, Rose Namajunas of the United States of America suffered a brutal injury to her right pinky finger, during her bout against Manon Fiorot of France. She went on to fight till the very end in her flyweight division match but ultimately lost to her opponent unanimously.
