During the Qualifier 1 of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Trinbago Knight Riders, the umpire performed the “You Can’t See Me” gesture of the multi-time WWE champion John Cena in a hilarious incident. The moment occurred when the umpire couldn’t witness the ball hitting the pad of the batter Mark Deyal at the striker’s end after Imran Tahir came in his way in the delivery stride.
On September 20, Wednesday, the captain of Trinbago Knight Riders, Kieron Pollard won the toss and chose to field first at Providence Stadium in Georgetown. While Saim Ayub batted well for Guyana Amazon Warriors at the top of the order, he didn’t receive much support from Odean Smith and Shai Hope in terms of putting the impetus in the innings.

The Pakistan opening batter top-scored for GAW with a 49 off 39, while Azam Khan and the rest of the lower order played quick-fire innings, to propel their total to 166/7 in their allotted 20 overs. They started the defence of the target with the captain Imran Tahir picking up the wicket of Mark Deyal but with a massive catch.
It was the first ball of the spell from Imran Tahir in the fifth over of the TKR batting innings when he bowled a fuller length delivery, which struck the pad of the left-handed opener on the sweep, which led to him going up for the appeal instantly. But the umpire gestured that he couldn’t make a decision, while putting his hand up in front of his face, waving it back and forth, signifying that he couldn’t see the ball due to the follow-through of the leg spinner.
Imran Tahir took the review as captain moments later, which confirmed that Mark Deyal was indeed in front of the stumps when the ball struck his pad. The umpire was finally able to make the call, overturning his decision to send the batter on his way to the pavilion, but still, TKR were able to defeat GAW easily by 7 wickets, thanks to his opening partner Chadwick Walton staying undefeated with 80 off 57.
