The ODI World Cup 2023 is less than two months away from the start and the trophy is on an official tour before it reaches the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 5. The marquee tournament which will kick start from October 5 with the final set to be played on November 19, will be held in the Indian sub-continent entirely.
Just days ahead of the start, Bollywood actor Urvashi Rautela became the first from the film industry to unveil the trophy. The Bollywood actress, who is often seen at the stadiums, unveiled the trophy at the iconic Eiffel Tower in French capital of Paris. The actress-model took to social media to share the picture of herself with the trophy with the Eiffel Tower in the backdrop.
In the picture now doing rounds on social media, the Indian actor can be seen wearing a cape-themed body hugging dress, claiming herself as the first celebrity to unveil the 50-over WC trophy.
England to play New Zealand in tournament opener; India to play Pakistan on October 14
The marquee event will see the 2019 finalists England and New Zealand lock horns in the tournament opener on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Ahmedabad will next host a match on October 14 as arch-rivals India- Pakistan face each other.
