Napoli star Victor Osimhen lashed out at Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's agent and labelled him a “dumb f**k”. His reaction came after Kvaratskhelia's agent gave an interview earlier this week and said that Osimhen will ‘move to Saudi Arabia next summer’. Osimhen signed a new deal with the Serie A Club in December 2023, which extended his stay until 2026. With this, the striker rejected a $146 million advance from Saudi side Al-Hilal in the summer.
Kvaratskhelia's agent, Mamuka Jugeli, claimed that the footballer would move to Saudi Arabia and hinted that the reason behind this is money. The 25-year-old didn’t hold back in response to Jugeli and took to social media to slam him. Osimhen, on his Instagram, wrote, "Dear Mamuka Jugeli, you are a piece of filth and a disgrace. I'm embarrassed at your sense of reasoning. Dumbf*ck! KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!"
The striker netted 31 goals in all competitions last season and helped Napoli win their first title after 33 years. He is currently one of the most in-demand players in the world, was named African Footballer of the Year and stood eighth in the Ballon d'Or vote for 2023. Earlier, Jugeli made some judgemental comments when his client was compared with Osimhen, suggesting that the latter was driven by money.
He said, “Victor Osimhen has signed a new contract, but do you really believe he’ll play for Napoli for his entire career? 'I’ll tell you in advance, he (Osimhen) will go to Saudi Arabia next summer. Napoli raised his salary but Kvicha wouldn’t accept such a transfer even for a billion. For example, Kvicha would prefer to play for Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona or maybe Manchester City; Kvaratskhelia has different goals and preferences.”
