The Serie A 2023-24 clash between Napoli and Bologna, which was played at the Renato Dall'Ara Stadium on Sunday, September 24, was a disappointing draw for the reigning Italian champions as their striker Victor Osimhen missed a penalty kick in the second half and had to share points with the Red and Blues. However, the 24-year-old Nigerian is not happy with the club's mocking video on social media and could take legal action against Gli Azzurri.

Osimhen scored 26 goals and four assists in 32 matches last season in the Serie A to claim the Golden Boot and also helped Napoli win the Scudetto for the first time in over 30 years. He started the 2023-24 campaign with three goals in five Serie A appearances so far and failed to take his goal-scoring tally to four goals with a missed penalty kick against Bologna on Sunday.

During a goalless draw between Napoli and Bologna, Oshimen stepped up to take a penalty kick in the second half to break the deadlock. However, the Napoli striker fired the ball off the target on the goalkeeper's left side. Napoli posted the video of the missed penalty on their TikTok handle with a strange voiceover seemingly mocking Osimhen.

Osimhen's agent Calenda announced on Tuesday that the Nigerian striker is considering taking legal action against the club for its "unacceptable" mocking video. Calenda said, "What happened today on Napoli's official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted."

Osimhen's agent added, "A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news. We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor."
