The much talked about match between India and Pakistan saw a bizarre end as rain came into play with umpires calling off the match earlier than expected in the Asia Cup 2023. Notably, the two sides locked horns for the first time in more than four years, since last playing in 2019 ODI World Cup in England.
While some were left disheartened with the abrupt end, some even lashed out at the ACC for hosting the match in Sri Lanka, rather than opting for a neutral venue in the gulf region. In a video doing round on social media, a Pakistan fan girl stole the spotlight as she was disheartened with Virat Kohli’s dismal outing.
While she named Kohli as her favourite player and even picked him over Babar Azam, she also added that she came in hope to watch Kohli smash a century in Kandy against Pakistan.

“Mera dil tuut gaya,” she said in the video with Virat Kohli getting out at the score of four off seven deliveries in the all-important match. In the same video she can also be heard sending a message of peace as she quoted, “Chacha padosiyo se pyaar karna bhuri baat toh nahi hai”.
While the Men in Green have already confirmed their Super 4s berth, India will next play Nepal in Group A fixture on September 4 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.
