The Delhi Capitals (DC) will return to action when they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in their second match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. While the Axar Patel-led side will hope to continue their winning run in the tournament after they defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by a close margin of one wicket to win their maiden game of the season in Visakhapatnam.

However, the side will be coming high on confidence, they will also be bloostered by the presence of star Indian wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul, who joined the side recently after missing the opening match due to the birth of his daughter with wife Athiya Shetty.

KL Rahul to feature in DC vs SRH IPL 2025 match

Although, the star India player joined the side in Vizag after the birth of his child, recently DC youngster Vipraj Nigam also hinted at KL Rahul’s inclusion in the side for the upcoming IPL 2025 clash against the Hyderabad-based franchise. When being asked if Delhi has worked on their shortcomings, he responded that KL Rahul’s arrival have added a boost in the side.

"Definitely. And this time, we also have KL Rahul back in the team, which will bring a lot more balance. You can't judge a team based on just one match,” Nigam hinted. “All our players are experienced and very capable, and hopefully, we will perform well in this match," the DC all-rounder added. The DC all-rounder also added that the performance cannot be judged on one outing as it is just the start of the season. "There wasn’t anything particularly specific. It was a pressure game — a few bad shots, some good deliveries — these things happen. Our mindset is to forget what’s done and focus on performing well in the next match," said Nigam.

The DC are set to host SRH at their second home at the Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, March 30 at 3:30 pm.
