The much-awaiting India versus Pakistan ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 clash is scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Ahead of the high-octane clash, former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria slammed the comparison between Indian stalwart Virat Kohli and Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, claiming the Pakistan opener is not even close to the former Indian skipper.
While Team India kick-started their T20 World Cup campaign with a dominating win against Ireland, Pakistan suffered a major upset as the U.S.A defeated them in the Super Over. The Men in Blue will be high on confidence stepping into the game while a win in the fixture will be crucial for Pakistan.
During an interview with ANI, Danish Kaneria slammed the Pakistan Cricket Team and skipper Babar Azam. He said, "Jaise hi vo (Babar Azam) run kar deta hai 100, agle din media me aa jata hai Kohli k saath compare karo. Arey jute barabar bhi nahi aata bhai. (Whenever he (Babar Azam) scores a hundred people compare him with Virat Kohli. He is not even close to Virat Kohli.)
Kaneria added, "USA Bowlers had him stuck, he was unable to play the bowlers. As soon as he reached 40 odd runs he got out. He should have stayed and won the game. Pakistan should have won the game one sided."
