Be it RR clinching their much-required win by successfully chasing down the target in merely 13.1 overs to keep themselves alive in the playoffs race, or the RR skipper Sanju Samson blocking a wide to let Yashasvi Jaiswal complete his 100. The 56th game of the IPL 2023 saw creating of history with the RR spinner Yuzvendra Chahal becoming the highest wicket-taker in the history of the IPL with a total of 187 wickets in 143 matches. The other being RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal smashing the fastest fifty of the IPL history in just 13 balls. However, what became a talking point on Twitter was how former India skipper Virat Kohli immediately deleted the story praising Jaiswal.
The 21-year-old made every cricketer his fan by achieving this feat, and received praise from cricket superstars like Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Michael Vaughan, and more. What a talent Yashasvi Jaiswal.” However, what caught everyone’s eyes was that Virat Kohli instantly deleted the story and only to share it again. Kohli, who is the brand ambassador of Star Sports accidently shared the story with the current IPL broadcaster's logo on it. He immediately took down the story and reshared it, cropping their logo.
Though the former Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper was quite fast in doing so, the fans were a lot quicker, and it didn’t take them much to understand what had just happened. They started flooding the internet with hilarious comments. While one wrote “Kohli’s Contract with Star Sports in danger”, the others wrote “Star Sports be like: Sir, you are our ambassador.”
