Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor said that India’s batting sensation Virat Kohli should play his role if a biopic is ever made on him. The Bollywood actor was in a conversation with Indian commentator and sports presenter Jatin Sapru, where he was asked if he would like to play Kohli’s role. The batting sensation is currently a part of India’s squad in the ODI World Cup 2023 and will be expected to play a key role for his side against New Zealand in the first semi-final.

Ahead of the big game on November 15 between the hosts and previous runners up, Sapru chatted with Ranbir Kapoor. Sapru asked the actor, “Would you like to do Kohli's biopic?” The 41-year-old replied to him saying that the cricketer should play his own role as he looks better than other actors and he is fit as well.

Kapoor told Sapru, “If a Biopic is made on Virat Kohli, then Kohli should play the role of Kohli in it because Virat looks better than many actors & his fitness is also very good.” Speaking of the batter, the 35-year-old equalled India legend Sachin Tendulkar’s record of ODI centuries as he hit his 49th ODI ton against South Africa in the current season of the tournament.

However, he missed out on his chances of breaking Tendulkar’s record in India’s last league match against the Netherlands. In their semi-final clash against New Zealand, the Indian skipper won the toss and invited the visitors to field first.
