Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been an inspirational cricketer. With his profound batting abilities capped with unparalleled athleticism on the field, the 33-year-old has carved his name among the best athletes in the world. While there is little doubt over Virat Kohli's extreme fitness, a recent BCCI report which is going viral on social media stamps Kohli's authority as an athlete with excellent physical and mental fitness.

The report prepared by the BCCI CEO Hemang Amin details the extensive work done at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in the last season, lists out players from international stage, India A, India U-19 and senior women's team who attended the NCA to cope with the injuries.


According to the report, a total of 96 complex injuries to 70 players were treated by the NCA medical team during the 2021-22 season. The list of players as per this BCCI report mentions 23 players from the senior Indian team, 25 from India A, one from India U-19 and seven from the senior Women's team and 14 from states.

While the list includes the name of players like skipper Rohit Sharma (hamstring), his deputy KL Rahul (post hernia surgery), Cheteshwar Pujara, Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya, Umesh Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant, Ishant Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Mayank Agarwal, Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshear Kumar, Ajinkya Rahane, R Ashwin, Axar Patel and Wriddhiman Saha, former Indian skipper Virat Kohli never needed to check at the academy with any sorts of issues.

A BCCI official quoted by several media reports suggests that Virat Kohli has managed himself so well that he never had any hamstring or muscle-related injuries. Another interesting factor that grabs the attention of many was the fact that the list also included the names of a fresh batch of players like Shubman Gill, Prithvi Shaw, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Venkatesh Iyer, KS Bharat, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Karthik Tyagi, Navdeep Saini and Rahul Chahar.

As far as Kohli is concerned, the star batsman will be in action during T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia as the Men in Blue will start its campaign on October 23 against arch-rivals Pakistan in Melbourne.
