Star Indian batter Virat Kohli was among the top retentions ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. The right-hander was the first player to get retained by Royal Challengers Bengaluru at a whopping ₹21 Crore. With this, Kohli is set to play his 18th consecutive season with the same franchise. Along with him, RCB have also retained Rajat Patidar and Yash Dayal for ₹11 Crore and ₹5 Crore respectively. 

Virat Kohli has been a big name in the IPL over the years, and is currently the all-time highest run scorer of the tournament with 8004 runs in 252 matches.
