In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 game between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Jaipur, the latter registered a convincing nine-wicket win. Following the game, Bengaluru’s legend Virat Kohli also won the hearts of several fans with his special request to RR head coach Rahul Dravid. After the game, when Kohli was returning to the dugout, he saw his former Team India coach Dravid heading towards the middle of the ground to shake hands with players from both sides. Dravid, who uses crutches due to a leg injury he picked up ahead of IPL 2025, was struggling to reach the players.
Noting his former senior colleague, Kohli went towards him and requested the 52-year-old not to go among the players in such condition. However, Dravid looked stubborn and shook hands with the returning players. Earlier, Kohli's reunion with Dravid before the RR vs RCB match went viral on social media.
RCB pulverise RR in Jaipur in IPL 2025
RCB looked merciless in the contest against RR at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium and bagged their fourth win in the tournament. Bengaluru opener Phil Salt shone with his bat and hit a brisk 65 off just 33. Riding on his aggressive knock, the Challengers completed the chase of 174 runs in just 17.3 overs.
Salt’s batting brilliance made him the recipient of the player of the match (POTM) award. Rajat Patidar and his men have now climbed to the third spot on the points table with four wins and two losses in six outings. RCB, who have won all four away matches in this competition, will be expected to deliver their first home win to their fans against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 18. Before taking on RCB, Punjab will lock horns with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Mohali on April 15.
