Despite Karun Nair almost winning the game for DC with his 89-run knock, MI scripted an epic comeback and bowled DC out for 193 runs handing them their first defeat of IPL 2025. With this, MI are also back on the winning track, registering their second win of the season after two close defeats against Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru respectively.
Batting first, MI posted a big total of 205 runs losing five wickets with Tilak Varma top scoring with 59(33) runs, while Suryakumar Yadav and Ryan Rickelton contributed with 40(28) runs and 41(25) runs respectively. In reply, Karun Nair stood along for DC with his knock of 89 runs off just 40 balls. However, the things changed drastically after his wicket as MI got a chance to make a comeback and went on to bowl DC out for 193 runs in 19 overs.
