Former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram is known for his bowling prowess. The legendary pacer was the star of the Pakistani bowling lineup during his playing days. Even after years of retirement, Akram is fondly remembered as one of the best bowlers of his generation. The former Pakistan captain is enjoying his retirement days by commentating on the game as well as by spending time with his family.
With senior Akram retired, Junior Akram, Tahmoor is busy taking the name forward. However, Tahmoor won’t be playing cricket like his father. Instead, he will build his career in Mixed Martial Art (MMA). Tahmoor is already working on his passion to become a professional MMA fighter and he has full support from his family, including Wasim Akram.
Junior Akram is living in the USA and is sweating out in the training session and knocking over opponents. Meanwhile, Wasim Akram has confirmed that Tahmoor aims to shine in the world of MMA and he is absolutely fine with it. “My son has been living in America there is not much cricket there anyway, I have given my children the right to live the life they want. If he wants to be a fighter, then he must,” Akram was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Junior Akram keeps sharing his videos and reels on Instagram about the fights and training sessions with opponents. In one of the videos, Tahmoor can be seen doing some pad work. “Pad-work with The General Daron Cruickshank has me feeling sharp as a knife, I can’t wait to use these tools in the ring,” read the caption posted with the video.
Notably, Tahmoor is Akram’s son with his first wife Huma, who passed away in 2009. The former Pakistani cricketer later married Australian Shaniera Thompson in 2013 and is living Down Under.
