The former India all-rounder and head coach, Ravi Shastri, debuted at the Australian Big Bash League for the Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Sixers game. Shastri has been one of the most recognisable voices in world cricket and commented on some of th e most significant moments in the sport's history.

Shastri recently joined Fox Cricket for the Big Bash League 2023 while staying for the upcoming Test series between Australia and Pakistan. During the broadcast, Former Australia captain Aaron Finch lauded Ravi. “He is the King of commentary and has been the voice of cricket for a long time. It is good to have him over here,” he said.

The 61-year-old played 80 Tests and 150 ODIs for India between 1981 and 1992. Shastri was part of the Indian teams that won the 1983 ODI World Cup and the 1985 World Championship of Cricket where he was named the Champion of the Champions award for being the player of the tournament.

After ending his cricketing career, Shastri soon pivoted to the media side and emerged as one of the great broadcasters. Then he became the director of the Indian cricket team for eight months before the 2015 World Cup. Two years later in 2017, he was appointed as the head coach of the Indian cricket team and remained in charge until the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup.
