On day four of the ongoing second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh, Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed made a comedy of errors. The right-handed batter who came to bat in after his side lost eight wickets for 136 runs, seemed to have fresh memories of the ODI World Cup 2023. Ahmed didn’t put on his playing gear properly, but was seen rushing to the crease to avoid ‘timed out’ dismissal.

In a video that is going viral all over on social media, the right-arm spinner was seen running to the crease in a hurry, and in his way, also dropped his gloves. The hilarious incident sparked reactions from everyone, including former visiting skipper Shakib Al Hasan

For the unversed, ‘Timed Out’ refers to a batter failing to arrive at the crease before three minutes in ODI and Test matches. Shakib used this tactic against Sri Lanka’s Angelo Mathews during the ODI World Cup 2023. This led to a major controversy and the fans were divided on the issue.

He scored some quick runs after his team lost eight wickets. Bangladesh have been asked to chase 185 runs to win the game and the series by 2-0.

The visitors had scored 42/0 before the bad weather meant that the day four play was suspended. On the last day, Bangladesh need to score 143 more runs to win.  Earlier in the first Test of the series, Bangladesh registered their first-ever longest-format win over their South Asian counterparts, when they took down their rivals by a margin of 10 wickets.
