Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar owns an international car racing team, and it is once again is on a spree of fantastic results. Following their remarkable third-place performance in the 991 category at the 24H Dubai 2025, the team has now finished third at the very competitive 12H Mugello auto racing event in Italy. Ajith’s team celebrated their podium in true racing style, with colleagues Fabian Danz, Mathieu Detry, and the Bas Koeten Racing crew blowing champagne bottles. Fans in the stands cheered as Ajith proudly carried the Indian flag on the podium.
On their official X account, Ajit Kumar Racing Team shared a small clip that shows how the team celebrated at the podium with Champagne. The caption of the post read, "Victory in style! Team @Akracingoffl shines at the 12H Mugello, Italy, celebrating a fantastic podium finish! Kudos to fabian_fdx89, mathdetry , and @BasKoetenRacing for their stellar performance on the track!" With their second podium finish, the team prepares for their next test, the 12H Spa-Francorchamps race in Belgium.

Ajith Kumar's dedication earned him respect from his racing team
Ajith, besides being a star in the Tamil Nadu film industry, not only does the car race, but also owns the Ajith Kumar Racing Team. His colleagues are Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffieux, and Cameron McLeod. The team relies on Bas Koeten Racing for technical and logistical support. Ajith's passion for racing has gained him the respect of his teammates.
One of his teammates, Fabian, recently praised Ajith's dedication. "Incredible how Ajith has improved over four months only! Coming from no experience in GT3 race cars! The first video was his fastest lap four months ago and the second one is the last weekend's fastest lap! Four seconds faster! This guy has it in him!”
Ajith had earlier said that he wouldn't be signing in any new film until the racing season is over. He will do films between October and March. A few months back, Ajith was in the news after his car crashed while he was driving in a deserted location. Unfazed by the injury, he continued to drive after some days.
