On September 15, when Salem Al-Dawsari didn’t let Neymar Jr. take the penalty against Al -Riyadh at the Prince Faisal Bin Fahad stadium in Riyadh, the fans of Al-Hilal started whistling at their own player in disapproval. Still, the 23-year-old managed to put away the penalty, before scoring once more in second half added time, to secure a big win by 6-1 for his team in the Saudi Pro League.

Al-Hilal dominated their local rivals Al-Riyadh right throughout their contest, with a consistent wave of attacks in the final third, coupled with a solid defensive performance on the night. Aleksandar Mitrovic opened the scoring after putting away the penalty in the 30th minute after Michael was fouled inside the box.

Nasser Al-Dawsari made the scoreline 3-0 in the 68th minute, with an assist from Malcom. The fourth goal on the night was scored by Malcom in the 83rd minute when Neymar Jr. rolled the ball in front of him for his first assist as an Al-Hilal player.

Minutes later, when an Al-Riyadh player was caught handling the ball inside the box, a penalty was awarded to Al-Hilal. The fans wanted Neymar to take the spot kick, but Salem Al-Dawsari converted it, in spite of the whistles, to make the scoreline 5-0 in favour of his team, in the 87th minute.
