During a recent match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023, Alzarri Joseph, one of the fiercest fast bowlers from the West Indies, was caught on camera giving a deadly stare to Azam Khan, after taking his wicket. These two top cricketers were involved in a heated battle at the Providence Stadium in Georgetown, when Guyana Amazon Warriors of Azam Khan, went head-to-head against Saint Lucia Kings of Alzarri Joseph.

Notably, the captain of Warriors, Imran Tahir, won the toss and chose to bat first in decent batting conditions. But, the openers Saim Ayub and Matthew Nandu were dismissed in quick succession during the powerplay by the Kings bowlers, with a strike-rate below 100.
While Shai Hope gave some impetus to the Warriors batting innings, it was Azam Khan, who struck the ball cleanly at a high strike-rate to bring them back into the contest. During the first ball of the 17th over, the Pakistan middle order batter charged Alzarri Joseph, managing to hit his bouncer over square leg boundary for a six.

The West Indies fast bowler, who didn't look pleased with the stroke, found a way to pick the wicket of Azam Khan in the fourth ball of the same over, getting him hold out at the deep long-on area while attempting a lofted drive. As the Pakistan cricketer walked back towards the pavilion, he was given a deadly stare by Alzarri Joseph, signifying that he won the battle this time around.
The innings for Guyana Amazon Warriors ended at 167/5 in their allotted 20 overs, with Azam Khan scoring 40 off just 25 balls. The bowling effort from the team was poor, losing the match within 18 overs to Saint Lucia Kings, who had Colin Munro (55 off 43) and Bhanuka Rajapaksa (86 off 49) sharing a 132-run stand for the second wicket.
