Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant was expected to deliver an effective knock to his team with his bat while chasing 191 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, in the seventh game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Pant is playing as th most expensive player in the league after getting snapped up by LSG for a whopping sum of INR 27 crore at the mega auction 2025.
However, against the Orange Army, his performance bettered as he scored some runs but didn’t show discipline. The southpaw got dismissed after scoring run-a-ball 15. Earlier, in his team’s opening game against Delhi Capitals (DC), he departed after scoring a six-ball duck as his India compatriot Kuldeep Yadav got the better of him and sent him back to the dugout..
Following Rishabh’s failure in two consecutive games, an anchor lost his patience and got rankled on the famous sports broadcaster Vikrant Gupta’s YouTube show Sports Tak. He went on to break the TV and shake the glass table in front of him. He showed his anger during the live broadcast in the presence of his colleagues, which also included Vikrant. When the show's viewers criticised the anchor's act, Vikrant issued an apology to conclude the matter.
