Atlanta Hawks centre Clint Capela was seen showing off his football skills as he gets ready for the NBA 2023-24 season. Capela grew up in Switzerland and has been a fan of The Beautiful Game since childhood. Hence, when a video of him playing went viral on the internet, the 6-10 big man seemed comfortable on the ball in a five-a-side game.

The clip of the 29-year-old was shared by the Atlanta Hawks' Twitter account where Capela is seen shooting the ball with great accuracy and precision. The Swiss big man also incredibly dribbles the ball and manages to hold it away from the defender. The video was captioned, “Imagine this 6'10" striker on the pitch.”

Talking about his love for football, Clint Capela shared how it was his dream to play in UEFA Champions League and the World Cup. He also spoke about how football was an important part of his life even after he started playing basketball at the age of 13. While speaking in an interview with FIFA.com, Capela said, “I’ve loved soccer since I was six years old. Me and my friends would play soccer all the time. After school, every day, whenever we could. It was my dream to be a footballer, to play in the Champions League and the World Cup.”

“ I used to think about it all the time. I was pretty fast, had good technique. When I was 13 basketball came along, but soccer’s still a really big part of my life. Whenever I’m free I’m either watching soccer on TV or playing FIFA. I watch a lot. I don’t just watch games, but I like to analyse them. I’m a really, really big fan,” he continued.
