After failing to win their last three matches in La Liga and Copa del Rey, Diego Simeone's Atletico de Madrid dominated Las Palmas 5-0 in their Saturday's clash at the Wanda Metropolitano. Ahead of their home La Liga clash, Atleti's star forward Antoine Griezmann arrived at the stadium wearing the Super Bowl 2024 winners, Kansas City Chiefs' Mario-size cap, which left everyone in stitches.
Atletico Madrid are scheduled to travel to the San Siro stadium in Milan, Italy to face Serie A giants Inter Milan in the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League (UCL) clash. The two sides will square off in the Round of 16 clash on Tuesday, February 20.
Ahead of Atletico de Madrid's 5-0 thrashing of Las Palmas, French forward Griezmann arrived at the Wanda Metropolitano in style. The 32-year-old forward raised eyebrows as he was filmed wearing a gigantic Super Bowl 2024 winners' cap. However, Griezman was left on the bench for the Las Palmas clash as the La Liga giants want their star forward fresh against Inter Milan.

Atleti 5-0 Las Palmas: Highlights
Spanish midfielder Marcos Llorente opened the scoring for Atleti in the 15th minute and completed his brace in just five minutes. Argentine forward Angel Correa (47th and 62nd from the penalty spot) followed Llorente's steps and fired a brace in the second half.
Memphis Depay, who substituted Llorente in the 63rd minute, joined the party and scored the final goal of the match in the 87th minute. With this victory, Atleti's morale will be high ahead of their UCL Round of 16 first leg against Inter at the San Siro.
