Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam engaged in a cheeky banter with wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan. In a viral video doing rounds on social media, Azam could be seen running funnily towards Rizwan in a bid to hit the wicketkeeper with his bat. Notably, Azam recently stepped down as the Pakistan captain in all formats, after which the PCB appointed Shaheen Shah Afridi as the new white-ball captain and Shan Masood as the new Test captain.
In another video doing rounds on social media, Azam could be seen leaving the crease after a ball was delivered. After collecting it, Rizwan threw a ball on the stumps and appealed for a run out from the leg umpire. After that, Babar ran funnily towards Rizwan in a playful attempt to hit him with the bat.

As mentioned, Babar stepped down as Pakistan team captain in all formats on November 15 after the Green Shirts’ disappointing outing in India during the ODI World Cup 2023. Pakistan lost five out of their nine matches and failed to make it to the semifinals of the prestigious tournament.
Azam's decision came after he faced a lot of criticism from former Pakistan players as well as cricket pundits across the globe.
