Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam, who has been in red-hot form ahead of the Asia Cup 2023 won the hearts of his fans yet again. The Pak cricketer, who is regarded as one of the finest batters of all time, kept the promise he made to his young fans in the recently concluded Lanka Premier League 2023. Azam was a part of the Colombo Strikers in the T20I league.

A young kid asked Babar for his t-shirt and gloves after one of the matches of the league. However, the 28-year-old politely declined his request and said ‘not now’. Later the same kid made his way into the Pakistan team hotel after the second ODI against Afghanistan and this time, the young fan received a gift.

The batsman came from his room, gifted his fan a pair of gloves and even posed for a picture. Notably, in the latest season, Azam scored his first LPL ton as he hit 111 runs off 57 balls of Galle Titans. Not only this, but the Pakistan skipper has been in incredible form in the ongoing ODI series against Afghanistan.

In the second ODI, Azam scored 53 runs off 66 balls at Hambantota recently. Moreover, he became the only cricketer to score over 5000 runs after his first 100 innings. With this, he also surpassed cricketers like Virat Kohli and Sir Vivian Richards.
