Benfica Lisbon had a dream run in the UEFA Champions League group stage this season as they topped the group of death, which included French champions Paris Saint-Germain, Italian giants Juventus and Israeli club Maccabi Haifa. The same quality was shown by Benfica B in Liga Portugal 2 against Trofense on Monday.
Benfica B are currently on the third spot in the standings with their fourth consecutive league victory. The Liga Portugal 2 club came from behind to beat Trofense 1-2 in an away game.
Trofene defender Ange Mutsinzi scored the first goal of the match and managed the lead throughout the first half. w Benfica goalkeeper Samuel Soares produced an exciting kick to equalize the score, which is a Puskas award worthy goal. In the 65th minute, Soares broke the deadlock for Benfica and hit a powerful strike from his own half towards the goal.

The goal went down as an own goal by Trofense goalkeeper Miguel Santos. Soares shot hit the crossbar and the rebound hit Santos before it roll past the goal line.
Benfica forward Luis Semedo scored the winner for his side in the 82nd minute and helped his team to maintain a three-point lead from the fourth-placed Porto B.
