Brandon King pulled off a sensational relay catch along with Alzarri Joseph in the 3rd ODI against England. The game on Wednesday, November 6, saw the guests record an eight wicket win over the counterparts, thus winning the series 2-1. During the game, Brandon King displayed his athletic abilities and pulled off a stellar catch near the boundary to dismiss England wicket-keeper Phil Salt. Not only this, but he also played a key role with the bat during the game to help the side chase the target and was named Player of the Match for his effort during the decider game.

In the 41st over of England’s innings, King not only put his reflexive skills on display but also showed his presence of mind. Salt, who scored 74 runs off 108 runs with a combination of four boundaries and one maximum, had to depart after the catch. On the third ball of the 41st over, Salt played a massive shot to deep mid wicket. King, near the boundary line, leaped to grab the ball with both hands and immediately passed it to Alzarri Joseph, who completed the catch.

You have to believe in yourself and that it's your time: Brandon King

King, who won Player of the Match, expressed his delight and said that one needs to have self belief. Speaking in the post match ceremony, King said, “I had a fair number of starts but wasn't able to convert them. Fortunately I was able to do it today at a crucial game and I'm happy. Once you go through the initial phase, you have to believe in yourself and that it's your time.” Speaking about Keacy Carty’s knock, he added, “He batted fluently, he came at a crucial stage and helped us get off to a good start.”

King also spoke about the catch and said, “I had a bit of room and fortunately, Alzarri was there to help me.” Both teams will head into the five-match T20I series, which is set to begin on Saturday, November 9 at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.
