Australia’s first-class cricketer Campbell Kellaway became one of the biggest players to be talked about on Tuesday, March 18. Playing for Victoria in the ongoing Sheffield Shield clash against Western Australia at the WACA Stadium in Perth, Campbell produced a sensational catch to dismiss Cameron Gannon.

The incident unfolded in the 75th over of the innings when Western Australia’s score read 308/7. As they were chasing 382-run target, Victoria captain Will Sutherland delivered a short-pitched delivery which Cameron Gannon tried to play a hook shot off. Kellaway, who was stationed at the deep square leg, leaped and stretched his hand full to take the catch.

Kellaway sprinted in and quickly realised the ball was sailing over his head. Adjusting mid-stride, he stretched out and ended Gannon’s inning. While everyone was left in awe of his brilliance, the commentators were equally stunned by the 22-year-old’s efforts and described it as “catch of a lifetime.”
